She Didn't Wait for a Seat at the Table.
She Built One for Everyone.
Meet Nina Hall-Curtis — Founder of BAC, Salon Artistry Firm, and the beauty visibility movement transforming how independent artists get seen.
She didn't grow up with connections. She grew up with a chair.
Born and raised in Washington D.C., Nina discovered her gift for hair at sixteen — styling friends and family in her mother's home, developing a precision and instinct that no classroom could manufacture. She took that raw talent to the renowned Bennett Hair School, trained seriously, and emerged as something the industry didn't have a name for yet: a stylist who understood both the art and the business of beauty.
On the East Coast, her name became synonymous with three things: weave artistry, color mastery, and cuts that made people stop and stare. Her moniker — Styles by NinaSkye — became a credential all by itself.
Her work didn't stay behind the chair. It traveled.
She styled the emcee and attendees for the Congressional Black Caucus and the Executive Leadership Council — ensuring the people holding the mic and facing the cameras looked exactly as powerful as they were.
Her work reached broadcast television through Great Day Washington on CBS, on-set styling for a Project Runway charity event in Baltimore, and brand campaign work for Camel Cigarettes.
Personally trained and mentored by Jackie Kotei — Founder & CEO of MoreGood Media — Nina learned how to own her story and command her platform.
She stopped asking why no one wrote the playbook. She wrote it herself.
Her book, The Millionaire Guide for Hair and Beauty Salons: Key Strategies to Becoming a Shear Millionaire, became available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble — earning a Reader's Choice Award and drawing praise from stylists, salon owners, and beauty entrepreneurs.
As a licensed cosmetology educator and visibility strategist, she's spent years teaching beauty professionals how to build businesses that last — not just chairs that stay full.
She built the infrastructure to dismantle the ceiling.
Salon Artistry Firm (S.A.F.) was founded as a Maryland-based beauty marketing and media company with a singular mission: give independent artists the same visibility, access, and influence once reserved for big brands.
Through S.A.F., Nina launched the Beauty Ad Collective — BAC — placing independent professionals in national streaming ads on Hulu and Disney+, featured billboard rotations, and the Savings4selfcare discovery platform.
"The scene changes when the right people get seen."
